CMDCM(SW) Avinash “Tony” Ramsingh 
Command Master Chief

Master Chief Ramsingh is a native of Guyana, South America and graduated from Saunders Trade and Technical High School in Yonkers, New York. He enlisted in the Navy in October 1994 and attended Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. After completing Apprenticeship Training, he headed to Naval Station, San Diego as an Undesignated Seaman Recruit onboard the USS Lake Champlain (CG 57).

His first sea tour was onboard the USS Lake Champlain (CG-57) from 1995-2000 and served as Deck Supervisor. His second sea tour was onboard the USS Elliot (DD 967) from 2003-2004 as Deck Supervisor. After Decommissioning the USS Elliot, he would conduct a crew swap with the USS Fletcher (DD 992). After a successful deployment and decommissioning of the USS FLETCHER, he then reported to USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57) stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI from 2004-2006 as LPO for First Division and Operations Department LPO. Following his promotion to Chief Petty Officer, his next duty station would be USS CHUNG HOON (DDG 93) from 2006-2007 where would serve as LCPO for First Division. His next sea tour would be the USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) from 2007-2010 as Operations and First Division LCPO, and is currently serving onboard the USS Decatur DDG 73 as the Command Master Chief.     

His shore duty assignments include: Training Support Center, San Diego from 2000-2003, and Commander, Navy Region Southwest from 2010-2012.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Achievement Medal (7), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM), and various service and campaign awards.
