Commander Dave Snee, the son of a Master Chief Petty Officer, is from Millington, Tennessee. He is a 1995 graduate of the NROTC program at The University of Memphis where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He also has a master’s degree in Information Systems and Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
At sea, he served as Electrical Officer and Main Propulsion Assistant in USS ROBERT G. BRADLEY (FFG 49), OI Division Officer and Training Officer in USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67), Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer in USS O’KANE (DDG 77), and Flag Aide to the SEVENTH Fleet Commander.
Ashore, CDR Snee served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at NROTC Unit Virginia Tech, Deputy Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Plans, Policy, and Operations (N3/N5), and the Japan/China Country Director on the Joint Staff (J-5).
CDR Snee’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), and Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards).
