Milius Participates in the Santa Barbara Veterans Day Parade

111111-N-OM503-052 SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2011) Cmdr. Nicholie Bufkin, commanding officer of the guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69), looks back from a WWII-era jeep at the U.S. Navy Color Guard from Naval Operational Support Center Port Hueneme and Milius Sailors marching in formation during a Veteran's Day parade along State Street. Milius was invited to the coastal city to participate in community events including hospital visits, Frisbee and basketball games, beach clean-ups and ship's tours for the public.
