CDR Chris England was raised in Greeley, Colorado. He received his commission through the Seaman-to-Admiral program.

CDR England has served at sea aboard USS HAYLER (DD 997) as Auxiliaries Officer, USS VINCENNES (CG 49) as Assistant Operations Officer, and USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56) as Weapons and Combat Systems Officer.

CDR England served ashore as the Branch Chief, J5/Policy and Strategy, Joint Functional Component Command, U.S. Strategic Command.

He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of San Diego and Southern Illinois University, as well as a graduate degree from the U.S. Navy War College.

CDR England served as Executive Officer in USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62) from November 2012 to May 2014.

CDR England's awards include the Joint Meritorious Service Medal; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy Commendation Medal; Joint Service Achievement Medal; Navy Achievement Medal and various Unit and Service Awards.
