Command Master Chief (April 2010 - January 2013)
Master Chief Wallace is a native of Seattle, Washington and considers the Pacific Northwest as home. He began his naval career in 1987, graduating from Basic Training in Orlando, FL and AZ 'A' School in Meridian, MS.
His sea duty assignments include Naval Air Facility Diego Garcia, operating SH-3A Sea Kings; VAQ-133 Wizards, operating EA-6B Block 82 Prowlers and making Mediterranean deployments onboard USS CORAL SEA (CV 43) with CVW-13 and USS FORRESTAL (CV 59) with CVW-6; USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70), Air Department, V-2 Division, Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment, making Persian Gulf and Western Pacific deployments; USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62), Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, IM-1 Division, Aeronautical Material Screening Unit, making a Persian Gulf deployment; VS-21 Fighting Redtails, operating S-3B Vikings and making several Persian Gulf and Western Pacific deployments onboard USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) with CVW-5; and VAQ-142 Graywolves, operating EA-6B Block 89A Prowlers and making expeditionary deployments to Japan, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
His shore duty assignments include Enlisted Education Advancement Program, Skagit Valley College; VAQ-129 Vikings, operating EA-6B Block 82/89/89A Prowlers and making 11 Fleet Replacement Squadron carrier qualifications; and Naval Air Systems Command.
His most significant primary duties and qualifications include: Senior Enlisted Advisor to Naval Aviation's Logistics Flag Officer, Naval Air Forces' Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Leading Chief Petty Officer, Maintenance Master Chief Petty Officer, Command Senior Chief, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Aircraft Division Leading Chief Petty Officer, Line Division Leading Chief Petty Officer, Flight Deck Coordinator, EA-6B and S-3B Safe-for-Flight, and S-3B Plane Captain and Corrosion Control Collateral Duty Inspector.
Master Chief Wallace is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Skagit Valley College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Thomas Edison State College. He reported as Command Master Chief in USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56) in April 2010.
