LCDR Anthony Massey 
Executive Officer (June 2013 - October 2013)

Lieutenant Commander Anthony Massey is a native of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and commissioned through Navy ROTC in 2002 from the University of Washington. At sea, he served aboard the USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, as MP Division Officer and Gunnery Officer. He then served aboard USS FORD (FFG 54) in Everett, WA, as the Damage Control Assistant.

Ashore, LCDR Massey studied at the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned his Masters Degree in National Security Affairs (Far East, Southeast Asia) and subsequently attended the Defense Language Institute to learn Persian Farsi.

LCDR Massey reported onboard CURTIS WILBUR in September 2010 as Weapons Officer and turned over as Combat Systems Officer in August 2011. He assumed the role as acting Executive Officer in June 2013.

LCDR Massey’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and various campaign, service and unit awards.
