Why and when did you join the Navy?

Joined in AUG 2002. I joined the Navy for the opportunity to travel the world and to further my education.   

What is your job onboard SPRUANCE? 

Currently the Financial Manager, which means I’m managing the ships budget, processing the transmittals and Budget Optar Reports.

What do you like most about the Navy?

What I like most about the Navy is that it gives young sailors many benefits and opportunities. It also molds them to become a more mature individual.

What do you most like about the SPRUANCE?

I like the command motivation and the team work that inspires the junior sailors to do their best. The PT program is also another thing I like about the Spruance.

What is most exciting about being on the newest navy destroyer and why? 

The most exciting thing is knowing that I will be one of the first to take part in many of the SPRUANCE evolutions. It will also be my first time going through the Panama Canal which is very exciting.

What are your long term goals?

My long term goal would be to complete my Associates degree and then start on my Bachelors degree.

What are your favorite things to do in San Diego and Bath?

My favorite things to do are, going to the beach, fishing, movies, and painting in my spare time.

What is one random/interesting fact about you?

One fun fact about myself is that I like to paint on my spare time or when I’m inspired.
