USS Sampson welcomes HSL-37 "Easy Riders" Air Detachment Two

USS SAMPSON welcomed aboard Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 37 "Easy Riders" Air Detachment Two (Air Department), home-ported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Air Department will remain embarked for SAMPSON's scheduled six-month independent deployment.

Air Department consists of two SH-60B helicopters, operated and maintained by 6 officers and 18 enlisted. Complete with the Air Department, USS SAMPSON will conduct operations in the Fifth and Seventh Fleet areas of responsibility. (By ENS J.M. Bower)
