USS Sampson Arrives at Seal Beach, CA for Tours

NAVAL WEAPONS STATION SEAL BEACH, CA – Guided missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) opened her brow for public tours the weekend of October 13-14, 2012 while in port Seal Beach, Calif.  Almost 6,000 civilians were allowed access to the destroyer’s forecastle, pilot house, and helicopter hangar while guided by members of her crew.  Guests toured her many weapons systems, the forecastle’s ground tackle, damage control systems, visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) team, and the pilot house.
