Sampson’s S-3 Division Awarded NEXCOM Excellence Award
In a ceremony held on the Mess Decks today, Captain Stamatopoulos awarded SAMPSON's S-3 Division with NEXCOM's SHIPS STORE RETAIL AND EXCELLENCE AWARD. SAMPSON earned the award having successfully met all accountability and sustainability benchmarks, including 100% inventory and over 4.0 stock turn over the past three quarters. CAPT Stamatopoulos presented each ship's serviceman with a Retail and Service Excellence Award coin. He encouraged them to take the tools of success they've developed and apply those experiences at their future commands.

SAN DIEGO – The S-3 division aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) has been awarded the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Ship’s Store Retail and Service Excellence Award, Sept. 15.
Sampson earned the award having successfully met all accountability and sustainability benchmarks, including 100% inventory and over 4.0 stock turn over the past three quarters.
Capt. Peter Stamatopolous, Commander, Naval Surface Force U.S. Pacific Fleet N41, presented the certificate to the group and each ship’s serviceman with a Retail and Service Excellence Award commemorative coin. He also encouraged them to take the tools of success they've developed and apply those experiences at their future commands
