|CDR Jeffrey W. Hickox
Commander Hickox is a native of Abington, Pennsylvania and was raised in Naperville, Illinois and Leawood, Kansas. He was commissioned at the United States Naval Academy in 1990 and has been assigned to a variety of afloat and ashore billets as a Surface Warfare Officer.
He has served afloat on frigates, destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers and staffs including USS GARY (FFG 51), USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62), USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74), Executive Officer of USS McFAUL (DDG 74), and Chief Staff Officer of Destroyer Squadron SIXTY embarked USS LaSALLE (AGF 3) and USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC 20). His most recent sea duty assignment was commissioning Assistant Reactor Officer aboard USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77).
Ashore, Commander Hickox has attended both the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) at National Defense University and the Naval Postgraduate School, graduating with Masters Degrees in National Resourcing Strategy and Operations Research. He served as both the East Africa Future Operations Branch Chief and the Crisis Action Plans Branch Chief at United States Africa Command.
His current assignment is prospective commissioning Executive Officer of USS ZUMWALT (DDG 1000).
