Command Master Chief
Command Master Chief Darrin Lowe is a native of Mena, Arkansas. Enlisting in the United States Navy through the Delayed Entry Program in April 1991, he attended Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida. After graduating, he continued on to Personnelman “A” school in Meridian, Mississippi in November 1991.
Upon graduating from “A” School, his initial duty assignment was Personnel Support Activity Detachment, Bremerton, WA. After a successful tour at PSD Bremerton; CMDCM Lowe was assigned to the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in Bremerton, WA for his Sea Duty Assignment. Follow-on tours included: Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group TWO, Norfolk, Virginia; Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas; Navy Air Reserve, San Diego, California; Navy Reserve Readiness Command Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia. His Command Master Chief tours included; Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC), Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as the Command Master Chief for the largest NOSCs in the Navy Reserve Force; Commander, Navy Region Northwest Reserve Component Command (NRNW RCC), Everett, Washington, providing administrative and operational support to over 3,800 Navy personnel at 16 NOSCs in 11 states. Command Master Chief Lowe is currently assigned to the USS KIDD (DDG 100).
Command Master Chief Lowe is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course in Newport, Rhode Island. In December 2014, CMDCM Lowe graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College. He is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. Personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Navy Commendation Medal (4th Award), Navy Achievement Medal (4th Award), and various unit, campaign and service awards.
