Command Master Chief
CMDCM(SW/AW) Lintz enlisted in the Navy in 1990. Upon completion of YN “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi he was selected for flag staff duty and received orders to Naval Military Personnel Command, Washington, DC in October 1990.
In January 1994 he reported to the Naval Reserve Center, Saginaw, Michigan. After a highly successfully tour that included his selection as the Command’s Sailor of the Year and promotion to Petty Officer First Class, he transferred in December 1997.
In January 1998, he reported to the USS SENTRY (MCM 3) at Ingleside, Texas. While assigned to SENTRY he completed multiple deployments and qualified in Advanced Watchstations, including Officer of the Deck (Underway), Combat Information Center Watch Officer, Command Duty Officer. He served on a number of the SENTRY’s training teams including Damage Control Training Team, Seamanship Training Team, Navigation Training Team, and the ship’s Integrated Training Team. During this tour he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer.
Following the USS SENTRY, he reported in January 2001 to the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. Here he served as the Administrative Officer, Educational Services Officer, Mobilization Officer, and Staff Liaison for Navy Reserve personnel assigned to support the 2002 Salt Lake City, Olympic Winter Games.
October 2003 he received orders to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 51 (VR-51) at U.S. Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He served as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Administrative and Training Departments, . He qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and a Master Training Specialist.
In October 2006 he reported for duty at Navy Operational Support Center, Quincy, Massachusetts. While here, he served as the Command Senior Chief/Senior Enlisted Leader, Administrative Officer and Mobilization Officer. During this tour he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer.
On 15 October 2007 he reported to Commander Destroyer Squadron ONE in San Diego, California. He served as the Administrative Department Head and Legal Officer, supporting the readiness and training of six Oliver Hazard Perry Class U.S. Navy guided missile frigates and three Arliegh Burke Class Guided missile destroyers. During this tour he completed a 13 month IA assignment to Multi-National Force and Multi-National Corps-Iraq. In 2010 he was promoted to Command Master Chief.
In December 2010, he transferred to the USS Kidd where he currently serves as the Command Master Chief.
Command Master Chief Lintz has been awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Four awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal (2 Awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards. He is a Master Training Specialist that is both Enlisted Surface and Aviation Warfare Specialist Qualified. He is an Honor Graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 133 (Gold). He has a Bachelor Degree in Management.
