MMCS (SW/AW) Marlow R Jenkins is a navtive of Brooksville Florida and was raised in Crystal River, FL. He graduated from Crystal River High School in Crystal River, FL and enlisted in the Navy on September 18, 1989.
He attended boot camp in Great Lakes, IL, followed by MM/BT ‘A” School in Great Lakes IL.
He reported to his first command, USS RANGER (CV 61) home ported in San Diego, CA.
His subsequent assignments in San Diego, CA include; USS MOUNT VERNON (LSD 39) (1993-1995); Shore Immediate Maintenance Activity (1996-1998); USS JOHN C STENNIS (CVN 74) (1998-2003); and USS OGDEN (LSD 39) (2003-2005).
Following three shipboard assignments, he served as a Recruiter while stationed at Recruiting District Miami (2005-2008). His follow on sea tour was aboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) home ported in San Diego, CA.
Senior Chief Jenkins is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader on the Staff on Commander, Amphibious Squadron FIVE.
His personal awards include: The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) along with various unit and campaign awards.
