Information Systems Technician (SW/AW) Reed joined the Navy in June 1989 from Houston, TX and completed Radioman “A” school in San Diego, CA in 1990. Her first duty station was NCTAMS WESTPAC Guam June 1990 – October 1992; her later assignments include USS DIXON (AS-37), NTCC North Island CA, SPAWARSYSCEN San Diego CA, NCTS Guam, COMPHIBGRU Three, USS PELELIU(LHA-5), Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Detachment San Diego, and NAVCOMTELSTA San Diego. She was also given the opportunity to be the Command Senior Chief at NCTS San Diego during the last 6 months of her tour at NMCI DET San Diego. ITCS Reed completed a 12 month IA in July 2011 to Djibouti Africa as the LCPO for the NCTAMS LANT Detachment. Prior to arriving at COMPHIBRON Five she attended the Frequency Manager Class as she will be the Staff Frequency Manager and N6 LCPO. She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 129 Grey and University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters of Business Administration.
Her personal commendations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal (6 awards), Navy Marine Corps Achievement medal (2 awards), and various other unit, campaign, and personal awards.
