PHILIPPINE SEA  (Oct. 08, 2010) - The Primary Safety Officer, Cpl. Scott Schmick, kneeling, instructs the Assistant Gunner, Lance Cpl, Tyler Debenport, and the Gunner, Lance Cpl. Manolo Morales, during an M240B machine gun shoot aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). All three are assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) embarked aboard Harpers Ferry. Harpers Ferry is part of the permanently forward-deployed Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is underway in the western Pacific Ocean.
