CDR Kevin Taylor
Executive Officer

LCDR Kevin Taylor was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. He attended Virginia Tech as a member of the NROTC program and Corps of Cadets and was commissioned following graduation in May 2005.

LCDR Taylor has served at sea aboard USS TORTUGA (LSD 46) as Auxiliaries Officer, USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) as OE Division Officer, USS DONALD COOK (DDG 75) as Fire Control Officer, and USS CAPE ST. GEORGE (CG 71) as Weapons and Combat Systems Officer. During these assignments, he completed four deployments to the Western Pacific, Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean, Eastern Atlantic, and Caribbean.

Ashore LCDR Taylor served as Compound Commander in Camp Bucca, Iraq and as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit, University of Oklahoma.

LCDR Taylor’s personal awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Combat Action Ribbon, and Iraqi Campaign Medal.
