|CWO4 David Arreola
Chief Warrant Officer David Arreola hails from Los Angeles, CA. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1993, completing basic training in Great Lakes, IL. He served as a Damage Controlman from 1994 to 2007. In 2002 he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and in 2005 was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. In 2007, he was selected into the Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrant Officer program. He completed Officer Doctrination School in Newport, RI in 2007.
CWO Arreola’s enlisted sea duty includes service in USS DENVER (LPD 9) from 1994 to 1999 and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) from 2002 to 2006 in San Diego, CA. His commissioning tours consisted of Main Propulsion Assistant onboard USS DECATUR (DDG 73) from 2008 to 2011, Assistant Chief Engineer/Damage Control Assistant onboard USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD 52) from 2011 to 2015, and Chief Engineer onboard USS CHOSIN (CG 65) in 2017 in San Diego, CA.
CWO Arreola’s enlisted shore duty includes Firefighting Instructor at Fleet Training Center San Diego from 1999 to 2002 and Senior Enlisted Advisor/Damage Control Assistant Senior Enlisted Instructor at Surface Warfare Officer School from 2006 to 2007, in San Diego, CA. As a commissioned Officer he served as Officer In Charge for Boat Support at Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command in Coronado, CA. from 2015 to 2017.
CWO Arreola is currently serving as Executive Officer of USS CHOSIN (CG 65).
He received an Associate Degree from Coast Line Community College in applied Marine Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston West Virginia. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Strategic Leadership at the University of Charleston West Virginia. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
