LCDR Troy A. Fendrick
Executive Officer

LCDR Troy A. Fendrick is a native of Tempe, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1993 as a Radioman serving in USS JUNEAU (LPD 10). He received his commission in 1997 from Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida.

After initial Surface Warfare Officer training, LCDR Fendrick served in USS ESSEX (LHD 2) as Interior Communications Officer followed by a tour in USS ANTIETAM (CG 54) as Main Propulsion Assistant.

Following his initial sea tours he was then assigned to Afloat Training Group Pacific as an Engineering Training Team Leader.

In 2003, LCDR Fendrick attended the University of San Diego where he earned a Masters Degree in Global Leadership. He then went on to attend the Surface Warfare Officer Department Head Course in Newport, Rhode Island.

Following Department Head School, LCDR Fendrick reported to USS SHILOH (CG 67) as the Weapons Officer with a follow on tour as the Combat Systems Officer. Following a hull and crew swap in September 2006, with Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Japan, he assumed duties as Combat Systems Officer in USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62).

After completing his Department Head tours he attended the Naval War College where he received a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. He was also a member of the Halsey Charlie Advanced Research Program for Integrated Air and Missile Defense.

He then went on to serve on the staff of Commander U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Africa, Commander U.S. SIXTH Fleet as the MCC TLAM DET OIC. During his tour as the TLAM DET OIC he participated in combat operations overseeing the planning and execution of over 541 TLAM missions and launching of 228 TLAMs in support of Operation ODYSSEY DAWN/UNIFIED PROTECTOR.

He is currently serving as the Executive Officer onboard the USS CHOSIN (CG 65) in Pearl Harbor, HI.

LCDR Fendrick’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various other unit and campaign awards.
