CMDCM (SW/SCW/AW) Reinaldo Rosado hails from “Hard Hitting” New Britain, Connecticut and enlisted in the United States Navy in October 1985 where he completed Basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois. His tours include USS Mississippi (CGN 4.0), USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20) and Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO, where he was promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
His follow on assignments include USS Simon Lake (AS-33) stationed in beautiful La Maddalena, Italy, USS Rainier (AOE-7) and USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG-60) where he attained the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Taking a break from sea duty he reported to Newport, Rhode Island, Seaman-to-Admiral 21 (STA-21) programs as the Naval Science Institute LCPO.
He then transferred to USS Dubuque (LPD-8) in San Diego where he attained the ultimate rank of BOATSWAIN’S MATE Master Chief Petty Officer.
Following this sea tour he was stationed at “The Quarterdeck of the Navy”, RTC Great Lakes. The Navy’s only “Bootcamp”, where he was selected into the Command Master Chief program. He is a graduate of the April 2010 CMC/COB (Class 73) and was reassigned to USS DUBUQUE (LPD-8) as the CMC. He is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of USS Antietam (CG-54).
His personal awards includes the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and numerous campaign, personal, and unit commendations. Master Chief Rosado is qualified and proudly wears the Enlisted Surface Warfare, Seabee Combat Warfare, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist designations and the Craft Master insignia. He is also certified as a Master Training Specialist.
