A native of New Mexico, Lieutenant Commander Will Chambers graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1996.

His sea duty assignments include tours of duty in USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) as Communications Officer/Assistant Operations Officer, USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) as Reactor Electrical/Reactor Training Division Officer, USS McCAMPBELL (DDG 85) as Operations Officer, and USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) as Reactor Training Assistant/Assistant Reactor Officer.

His shore assignments include the staffs of the Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Naval Forces Europe as Fleet Readiness Coordinator and Commander Naval Air Forces as an Aircraft Carrier Maintenance Coordinator.

LCDR Chambers’ decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 5 gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various campaign and service awards.

USS Cowpens Hosts Barbecue for Painting of the Battle “E”
YOKOSUKA, Japan - The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens (CG 63) hosted a barbecue on the pier March 16, to celebrate painting the Battle Effectiveness Award on the starboard bridge wing.
