Chancellorsville Departs BAE Shipyards
SAN DIEGO – The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) has returned to Naval Base San Diego after 213 days of extensive work at BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Facility.

Chancellorsville is the first US Navy warship to receive the Aegis Modification Advanced Capability Build-12 (ACB-12). ACB-12 upgrades or replaces much of the current Aegis Weapon System’s hardware and software components with new, more capable systems.

Testing of the new ACB-12 systems have begun and Chancellorsville remains in an Extended Dry-docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA). Chancellorsville’s sea trials are scheduled for early 2013.
