Command Master Chief (June 2008 - June 2012)

Master Chief Moore is a native of Mission, Texas, and enlisted in the Navy on 06 June 1988. Upon completion of Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida, he attended Machinist Mate “A” School and completed the Nuclear Power Training pipeline in January 1990 and reported to the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65) for his first sea assignment.
After his initial sea tour, he reported to the USS SIMON LAKE (AS-33) in La Maddalena, Italy serving as the R-10 Leading Petty Officer. He then reported to his third consecutive sea tour on the USS MISSISSIPPI (CGN-40) in Norfolk, VA.
He served as the Machinery Division LCPO and Reactor Training Division Officer onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN-72) and after being selected to Master Chief Petty Officer in 2005, he reported to the USS NIMITZ as the Reactor Department Master Chief.
Master Chief Moore’s shore assignments include Navy Recruiting District St Louis as a Recruiter and Zone Supervisor, NPTU Charleston as a Leading Crew Chief and Machinery Division and Staff Training Group LCPO and a staff assignment at the Commander Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet as the Force Reactor Department Master Chief.
He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 106-Gold) and the Command Master Chief course at the Command Leadership School in Newport, RI.
Master Chief Moore has earned the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards. He has earned both the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist qualifications.
