Destroyer Squadron NINE Returns to Everett, WA

Everett, WA (24 March 2011) - Destroyer Squadron NINE, USS SHOUP and USS MOMSEN concluded a six and a half-month deployment, returning to their homeport of Everett, Washington, with the ABRAHAM LINCOLN Strike Group.  Since September 2010, Destroyer Squadron NINE ships and staff coordinated surface and sub-surface defense of USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN, executed counter-piracy operations off the Somali Coast and supported Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.
