Senior Chief Petty Officer Collins enlisted in the Navy in May of 1998 and completed recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, IL and completed Sonar Technician “A” school at the Fleet ASW Training Center, San Diego, CA in December 1998.

His first sea tour was aboard USS GARY (FFG-51) and USS THACH (FFG-43) stationed in San Diego, CA from December 1998 to October 2002. His subsequent sea command was the USS PRINCETON (CG 59) from August 2006 to May 2009. He assumed duties as the ASW Analyst in the N6 department for COMDESRON SEVEN July 2012.

Senior Chief Collins’ shore tours include a tour at FASOTRAGRULANT DET BRUNSWICK in Brunswick, ME as a SERE instructor from December 2002 through November 2005 and Naval Personnel Command in Millington, TN as Leading STG Detailer in PERS-406 from June 2009 to June 2012.

Senior Chief Collins holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and is pursuing his Masters degree in Information Technology from the University of Arizona.

His personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various service and unit awards.
