Senior Chief Petty Officer Zeigler, a native of West Monroe, graduated from Carroll High School in Monroe, LA. He enlisted in September 1994 completing Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes and Operations “A” School in Dam Neck, Virginia.

His sea duty assignment include USS VICKSBURG (CG-69), USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC-19), USS TORNADO (PC-14), USS WHIRLWIND (PC-11), PATROL COASTAL CREW FOXTROT deploying to 5th Fleet in USS CHINOOK (PC-9), and USS TYPHOON (PC-5). Senior Chief Zeigler commissioned USS MICHAEL MURPHY (DDG-112) where he led Operations Department. He reported to Destroyer Squadron THREE ONE October 2013.

Ashore, Senior Chief Zeigler served at Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility, Jacksonville, FL, and Navy Recruiting District New Orleans as a Nuclear Officer Recruiter.

His personal awards are the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6th Award) Good Conduct Medal (6th Award) and various campaign and unit awards.
