Deputy Commodore

A native of Houston, TX, commissioned and received a B.S. in History from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1991, a M.A. from St. John’s College in 1998, and a M.S. from the National War College in 2012.

At-sea assignments include Damage Control Assistant in USS THOMAS C. HART (FF 1092), commissioning First Lieutenant and Navigator in USS STOUT (DDG 55), Weapons Officer in USS RUSSELL (DDG 59), Commanding Officer in USS THUNDERBOLT (PC 12), Executive Officer in USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73), and Executive Officer/Commanding Officer in USS STETHEM (DDG 63).

Shore assignments include Seamanship and Navigation Instructor at the U.S. Naval Academy, Flag Aide to OPNAV N8 and VCNO, Joint Operational Planner in the USPACOM Standing Joint Force Headquarters and JTF-519, Special Assistant to the CNO/Navy Asia-Pacific Advisory Group, and Director of Professional Development at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Currently assigned to Destroyer Squadron TWO ONE as Deputy Commodore.
