Master Chief Christopher G. Jones
Command Master Chief (March 2010 - January 2013)

Master Chief Christopher G. Jones born in Dallas, Texas, 5 February 1965, entered Naval service 2 June 1989, and attended recruit training at RTC Great Lakes. Master Chief Jones assignments have been; USS JOUETT, USS COPELAND, Fleet Training Center San Diego, USS JOHN A. MOORE, USS GEORGE PHILIP, Center for Surface Combat Systems, San Diego as Senior Instructor, USS RENTZ and is now assigned to Commander, Destroyer Squadron One as Command Master Chief and Training and Readiness (N5). Master Chief Jones attended Fire Control "A" school at Great Lakes Illinois and Fire Control ā€œCā€ Schools in both Dam Neck Virginia and San Diego California . He received training as a MK152 Computer Complex technician, MK92 Fire Control System technician, and Harpoon Weapons Systems. He qualified Master Training Specialist during his tour as an instructor at Fleet Training Center and is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport Rhode Island. His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal with three Gold Stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with three Gold Stars, and numerous campaign and unit awards.
