Master Chief Belsky is a native of Georgetown, Massachusetts. He entered the Navy in August 1990. His initial training assignment was to Naval Training Center, Great Lakes Fire Controlman “A” School, MK 86 Mod 9 Gun Fire Control System “C” School, and Harpoon Weapons System “C” School. Upon completion of training his initial sea assignment was aboard USS VICKSBURG (CG-69) from June 1991 to April 1997.
His first shore tour was as an Instructor at Fleet Aviation Specialized Operational Training Group (FASOTRAGRU) Detachment Brunswick Maine, (SERE) from December 1997 through November 2000.
He then returned to sea as the Commissioning crew of USS McCAMPBELL (DDG 85), in April 2001. He served as CG Division LCPO, and Command Training LCPO thru August 2004.
His second shore tour was at the South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) where he served as a Technical Representative for the MK86 and MK 160 Gun Fire Control Systems in the Gun Fire Control Technical Support Code. He also served as the Ordnance Shop Master for the 25mm, CIWS GAHS, and VLS Cell Hatch overhaul processes. He received an Associates Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College while completing his tour at SWRMC.
For his third sea tour he served as the Weapons Department LCPO on USS STERETT (DDG 104) from May 2007 to January 2012.
FCCM Belsky reported to COMDESRON ONE in January 2012 as Senior Enlisted leader on Western Pacific Deployment 2012.
Master Chief Belsky has amassed more than 4,000 hours in Combat Information Central aboard CG and Flight II DDG’s. FCCM Belsky’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), in addition to various campaign and unit awards.
