GSCM(SW) Rommel M. Dimalanta
Command Master Chief

Native of Angeles City, Philippines, Gas Turbine Master Chief Petty Officer Rommel M. Dimalanta enlisted in the U.S. Navy at Subic Bay Naval Base, Philippines in June 1989. Attended basic training at the Recruit Training Command (RTC) in San Diego, Calif.
GSCM(SW) Dimalanta attended Gas Turbine Mechanical "A” School in Great Lakes, IL in 1990; Gas Turbine Mechanical “C” school from 1993-1994. Master Chief Dimalanta is a qualified Marine Gas Turbine Inspector and attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, R.I.
Sea duty assignments includes USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG-60) from 1990- 1993; USS Mobile Bay (CG-53) 1994-1197; USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG-54) 1994-1997; USS O’Brien (DD-975) 1997-2000; USS Vincennes (CG-49) 2000-2003; all homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.
His shore duty assignment was Afloat Training Group Western Pacific from 2003- 2006. Following his shore duty at ATGWP, he reported onboard USS Fitzgerald (DDG62) for his second top snipe tour from 2006- 2009. Upon completion of his tour on USS Fitzgerald, he was tapped to take the Marine Gas Turbine Inspector billet at COMDESRON FIFTEEN from 2009-2103.
From July 2013 to present, GSCM(SW) Dimalanta serves as Assistant Material Officer for COMDESRON ONE stationed in San Diego, California.
Personal awards includes, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy Achievement Medals, and other service awards.
