|CAPT Warren E. Cupps
CAPT Warren E. Cupps is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Springdale, Arkansas. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Missouri. He received his Commission through the Missouri NROTC program and also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Science Secondary Education. He qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer in June 1996.
CAPT Cupps served as the Electrical Officer, Damage Control Assistant, Navigator, and Administrative Officer in USS NASHVILLE (LPD 13), Surface Operations/OI Division Officer in USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), Chief Engineer in USS THACH (FFG 43) and USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58) and Executive Officer in USS PREBLE (DDG 88). His command tours include PCU FORT WORTH (LCS 3), LCS Crew 104 JUGGERNAUTS, LCS Crew 103 ROUGH RIDERS, and USS FORT WORTH (LCS 3).
CAPT Cupps’s shore assignments include Officer Programs Recruiting Department Head at Navy Recruiting District St. Louis, Deputy Executive Assistant to Director, Navy Staff at OPNAV, and as J82 Land/Arctic/Maritime Branch Head at NORAD-USNORTHCOM.
CAPT Cupps is a graduate of the Naval War College, where he earned a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies and completed the Navy Operational Planners Course.
His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), in addition to various campaign and unit awards.
