CMDCM Micky Jones
Command Master Chief

Master Chief Jones is a native of Oglethorpe Ga. He graduated Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in August 1991. He reported to Naval Training Center Great Lakes where he completed Engineman “A” school.

His fleet assignments include USS Orion (AS-18) La Maddalena Italy, USS HUNLEY (AS-31) Norfolk VA, USS OBRIEN (DD975), USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG-54), USS THACH (FFG-43), USS GARY (FFG-51), USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63) all in Yokosuka Japan. Mobile Security Squadron 7 (MSS-71) Agana Guam, USS ESSEX (LHD-2), and USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD-6), in Sasebo Japan. In addition, he completed shore duty assignments at Naval Leadership/CPPD Kings Bay Georgia, and ATG Yokosuka Japan.

He was selected to the CMC program in 2015 and reported to USS Port Royal (CG-73) in Honolulu Hawaii for his first tour. Assumed duties to Commander, Destroyer Squadron FIFTEEN as ISIC CMC on December 2017.

Master Chief Jones holds a Bachelor in Business Management from University of Management and Technology. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (class 185), Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (141) in Newport, RI and is a Master Training Specialist/Afloat Training Specialist.

Master Chief Jones’s decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation (three awards) The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
