SALINAS BEACH, Peru - Boatswain's Mate Seaman Ashleigh Brown drives a lighter amphibious re-supply cargo (LARC) vehicle, assigned to Beach Master Unit (BMU) 1, off of Salinas Beach, Peru onto Landing Craft Unit (LCU) 1617. BMU-1 is part of Amphibious Squadron (AMPHIBRON) 5 embarked aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18). New Orleans and AMPHIBRON-5 are participating in Southern Partnership Station, an annual deployment of U.S. military training teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
