CSCM Micheal E. Morgan
Command Master Chief (February 2011 - February 2013)

Master Chief Morgan enlisted in the Unites States Navy in Saint Louis, Missouri September 13, 1988. He completed Basic Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois and Mess Management Specialist “A” School in San Diego, California.

Master Chief Morgan’s sea tours include USS GUAM (LPH 9) from January 1990 to October 1991 taking part in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He then was assigned to USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) as the Main Galley Watch Captain while participating in Operation Enduring Freedom and qualifying in both Surface and Aviation Warfare from November 1996 to November 1999. His next sea tour served was onboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) from January 2007 to March 2010. As the Wardroom Supervisor and Leading CS he captured the Captain Edward F. NEY Award for outstanding Food Service two out of three years and qualified as the only enlisted Helicopter Control Officer onboard.

Master Chief’s shore tours include Jack-of- dust and Galley Watch Captain at NAV FAC Argentia Newfoundland, Canada from November 1991 to May 1993; Barracks Petty Officer at NAS Whiting Field, Milton Florida from July 1993 to November 1996. Recruit Division Commander at RTC in Great Lakes, Illinois, January 2000 to January 2004 earning his Master Training Specialists qualification.

His personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (4 awards) Combat Action Ribbon and various unit campaign awards.
