|CDR Ron Lott
CDR Ron Lott joined the Navy from Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1995 and was commissioned as an Ensign at OCS in 1996.
Following Nuclear Training and Surface Warfare Officer School, his initial assignment was to USS SOUTH CAROLINA (CGN 37) stationed in Norfolk, VA from December 1997 to May 1999 as the Repair Officer. After decommissioning his first ship, his second tour was aboard USS DAVID R. RAY (DD 973) in Everett, WA as the Combat Information Center Officer from May 1999 to April 2001.
After Department School in Newport, RI, CDR Lott reported to USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) in Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA after the homeport shift, as Main Propulsion Assistant from March 2004 to March 2006. Following his first Department Head tour, he reported in as the Operations Officer for USS OGDEN (LPD 5) in San Diego CA in April 2006. From October 2006 to February 2007 he served an individual augmentee assignment as the Non-Government Organization Liaison Officer for Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa.
Upon return from his IA, CDR Lott was stationed at Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific in San Diego, CA from April 2008 to April 2010 as the Maintenance Program Manager for USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74). After training in Newport, RI, he served as Auxiliaries Officer onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN in Everett, WA from June 2010 to August 2012. In September 2012 he reported to Afloat Training Group Western Pacific in Yokosuka, Japan as Director of Training until he assumed the duties as Executive Officer in March 2013.
CDR Lott’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal as well as other unit awards.
