LCDR Chris Severs
Executive Officer
Lieutenant Commander Chris Severs was commissioned through the NROTC program at the University of Oklahoma.  He graduated in 1999 with a degree in mechanical engineering.  Following initial training at the Surface Warfare Officer Division Officer Course in Newport, RI, he served as Strike Officer in USS Normandy (CG 60) and RM02 Division Officer in USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) where he was a Plankowner and completed the homeport shift to San Diego, CA.  After completing Department Head School in 2007, he served as Operations Officer in USS O'kane (DDG 77) and Chemistry-Radiological Assistant in USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).  Ashore, he served as an instructor at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) at NAS Fallon, NV.  He assumed his current assignment as Executive Officer at Afloat Training Group Pacific Northwest in June 2011. 
Lieutenant Commander Severs earned a Masters of Engineering Management degree from Old Dominion University in 2006.  His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
