Born in Spokane Washington in September 1988, Aviation Structural Mechanic First Class Jason Robinson enlisted in the Navy in January 2008.
Following completion of Basic Training, he attended AM “A” school in Oceana, Virginia. Upon graduation in August 2008, he reported to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO THREE at Naval Air Station North Island, California. He made three deployments to Kuwait, USNS Bridge (T-AOE-10), and USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6).
In July 2012 he reported to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWELVE as a Quality Assurance Representative. He completed two deployment onboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) and the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Between those deployments he completed a successful homeport switch from North Island, California to Atsugi, Japan.
In June 2014 he reported to Assualt Craft Unit Five in Camp Pendleton, California, to lead 14 Sailors in corrosion inspections, rudder and stator repairs, as well as carpentry and engraving jobs for 29 Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCACs). He is currently the Maintenance Department LPO leading 132 sailors in daily LCAC repairs.
Petty Officer Robinson’s awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and various campaign and unit awards.
