Command Master Chief

A native of Binghamton, New York, Command Master Chief Snyder joined the Navy in March, 1989 as an Operations Specialist.

He served at sea onboard USS VANDEGRIFT (FFG 48), USS WADSWORTH (FFG 9), USS CURTS (FFG 38), USS KIDD (DDG 100) as a plankowner, USS SENTRY (MCM 3), USS GLADIATOR (MCM 11), USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6) and USS BENFOLD (DDG 65).

Command Master Chief Snyder served ashore as Anti-Submarine Tactical Air Controller (ASTAC) Lead instructor at FLEET ASW TRAINING CENTER, San Diego and as Combat Systems and Anti-Submarine Warfare Team Leader at Afloat Training Group, Pacific.

Master Chief Snyder has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (seven), Navy Achievement Medal (six), and various unit and service awards.
