Command Master Chief
Command Master Chief Perry is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a graduate of Oliver Perry Walker Senior High School. He reported to Recruit Training Command San Diego, California on 18 August 1986 for basic training and completed Steelworker “A” School at Naval Construction Training Center Port Hueneme, California.
In February 1987, Constructionman Perry reported to Administrative Support Unit, Bahrain and was assigned to the Public Works Department. In March 1990, SW3 Perry reported to Construction Battalion Unit FOUR ZERO SEVEN in Corpus Christi, Texas; assigned to Charlie Company, First, Platoon. In March 1992, SW2 Perry reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN, where he deployed to Adak, Alaska; Agana, Guam; Little Creek, Virginia; and Sasebo, Japan; In February 1996, SW1 Perry reported to Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi, and was assigned to the ROICC Office as a Construction Inspector. In February 1999, he reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ONE THIRTY THREE where he made deployments to Fallon, Nevada; Rota, Spain; and Manama, Bahrain. In July 2002, he reported to Naval Construction Training Center Gulfport, Mississippi, where he was assigned as Steelworker Schools Course Manager. In July 2004, Chief Perry reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN and deployed to Agana Guam; Camp Arifjan Kuwait; Yokosuka Japan; and Balad, Iraq. In June 2009, Master Chief Perry reported to 22ND NCR as the Operations Master Chief, where he deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. In June 2011, Command Master Chief Perry reported to Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE where he is currently assigned as the Command Master Chief. Command Master Chief Perry is designated as a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist.
His awards include the 2001 MARVIN SHIELDS Award, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Four awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal(six awards), Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle E (two awards), Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (two awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (five awards), National Defense Services Medal (two awards), Iraq Campaign Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (three awards), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (eleven awards), NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Navy Expert Rifleman Medal, and Navy Expert Pistol Medal.
