Graduation Ceremony for Surface Warfare Officer Introduction Course Class 10002

SAN DIEGO - Honor Graduate, Ensign Anna Joy Hilton cuts the ceremonial cake at the end of the graduation ceremony for Surface Warfare Officer Introduction Course Class 10002, held at Naval Surface Forces Headquarters, with Rear Admiral Scott Hebner, Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command and Vice Admiral (Ret.) John Nyquist, Chairman, Surface Navy Association San Diego Chapter. The four-week course, focused on improving warfighting readiness through interactive lectures, simulator training, and exposure to senior leadership, is designed to empower new surface warfare officers by providing them with the basic knowledge and skills to make an immediate impact on the ships to which they are assigned.
