Commander NSWDC visited USS Essex
U.S. Navy Rear Adm. James Kilby, commander of the Navy Surface Warfighting Development Center (NSWDC), visited the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD-2) for a ship tour followed by a professional mentorship wardroom call to speak with embarked surface warfare officers about NSWDC. NSWDC is primarily responsible for conducting and evaluating warfare community-focused training with consideration for real world threats and conditions.
