The new Aegis Ashore Team Trainer (AATT) will be located onboard Naval Air Station Oceana's Dam Neck Annex. The trainer will house a mock-up of the shore-based Aegis Combat Information Centers (CICs) to be built in host nations in Europe.

U.S. Navy Continues Malaysia Airlines Search Effort
PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - A U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter from USS Pinckney (DDG 91) was expected to have about 10 and a half hours of search coverage in the Gulf of Thailand (local time) as a P-3C Orion aircraft searches an area west of Malaysia in the Strait of Malacca during continuing support of the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
Honoring a Shipmate
The officers and crew of the guided missile destroyer USS Russell (DDG 59) remembered the life of Dr. Barry Friedman, a World War II veteran, author and special friend of the crew during a special memorial service held on board the ship.

Fiscal Year 2014 Littoral Combat Ship Contract Awards Announced
WASHINGTON - Today, contract modifications were issued to Lockheed Martin Corporation and Austal USA under their respective Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) block buy contracts to add funding for construction of two fiscal year 2014 Littoral Combat Ships each.

GULF OF THAILAND - The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) was one of the first responders in the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 that was lost.
7th Fleet Adjusts Efforts in Support of MH370 Search
PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - USS Kidd (DDG 100) will proceed to the Strait of Malacca to continue its assistance with the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon will join the effort later this week, U.S. 7th Fleet.
USS Kidd Completes Andaman Sea Search; Detached from SAR Efforts
INDIAN OCEAN - Searching a combined 15,000 square miles since March 10th, USS Kidd and its MH-60R helicopters completed their search of the Andaman Sea and have been detached from the MH370 Search and Rescue (SAR) effort as of March 18th. No debris or wreckage associated with an aircraft was found.
