SASEBO, Japan – Proof positive that hard work pays off, USS AVENGER (MCM 1) recently learned that 24 AVENGER Sailors were selected for advancement. In the months leading up to the September 2012 Navy-wide examinations, AVENGER Sailors successfully completed several major milestone inspections and certifications.
From May through August 2012, AVENGER conducted: 3M Certification, Supply Management Certification, Mine Warfare Certification, Ultra-Engineering Assessment, and MIW Performance and Readiness Review. Undoubtedly, each of these hurdles provided immediate positive impact on the professional development of each Sailor selected. This coupled with earnest and effective study time culminated in a staggering 83% advancement rate for those who took the test (24 of the 29 Sailors tested were advanced!)
USS AVENGER (MCM 1) would like to congratulate the following Selectees: MN3 Acosta, MN2 Armontrout, IT1 Beeman, MN3 Casas, MN2 Cedeno, DC1 Comer, EN2 Coronado, MN3 Creel, MN3 Duncan, MN2 Fifelski, EN1 Gonzales, MN1 Linehan, MN3 McBroom, IT3 Moore, EN3 Pendleton, QM1 Randall, ET2 Ratzlaff, EN3 Russell, MN3 Steelman, MN1 Stevens, LS3 Torres, EM3 Urquhart, MN3 Viloria, and MN3 Wagner.
