Command Master Chief

Master Chief Beachy, a native of Grantsville, MD, enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1995. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, for Apprenticeship Training.

In May of 1995, he reported for duty aboard USS JOHN F. KENNEDY(CV-67). His follow on assignments include Strategic Communications Wing-ONE, Tinker AFB, OK; Naval Air Station Keflavik Security Department, Iceland; Naval Base Newport Security Department, Newport, RI; Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron SEVEN, Guam; Faculty Advisor at the USN Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, RI; and Command Master Chief USS LASSEN(DDG-82).

In addition, Master Chief Beachy forward deployed to Ft. Suse, Iraq, with Navy Provisional Detainee Battalion-ONE supporting Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM from October 2005 to September 2006, and served as an Embarked Security Team Mission Commander in CENTCOM/C5F AOR supporting Operation VIGILANT MARINER January to September 2008.

Master Chief Beachy holds a Bachelors Degree in Program Acquisition and Military Management from American Military University. Furthermore, Master Chief Beachy is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 164 and Naval Ethics and Leadership Center (CMC/COB) class 133.

Master Chief Beachy’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), Army Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
