Combat Systems Department

CA Division - is manned by Sonar Technicians Surface (STG) who are responsible for all sonar systems.

CE Division - is manned by Electronics Technicians (ET) and Interior Communications Electricians (IC) who are responsible for the ship's navigational radars, communications equipment, IFF system, DTS television system, gyros, alarm panels, telephone network and the announcing systems.

CF Division - is manned by Fire Controlmen (FC) who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ships Fire Control radars, Close-In-Weapon-System, all Combat Information Center (CIC) consoles and displays, the Combat Direction System and associated computers.

CG Division - is manned by Gunner's Mates (GM) who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the 76mm Gun battery, the six torpedo tubes. guns, dual .50 caliber gun mounts and all crew served weapons. They also have primary responsibility for Force Protection (FP).

Engineering Department

EA Division - is manned by Enginemen (EN) who are responsible for the ship's service diesel generators, air conditioning system, low and high pressure air compressors, distilling plants and the steering gear.

EE Division - is manned by Electrician's Mates (EM) who are responsible for the electrical distribution system throughout the ship. They also maintain and repair power and lighting circuits, distribution switchboards, generators and motors.

ER Division - is manned by Damage Controlmen (DC), Hull Technicians (HT) and Machinery Repairmen (MR) and are augmented by one crew member from each division. They are responsible for the maintenance and repair of Damage Control and firefighting equipment throughout the ship.

MP Division - is manned by Gas Turbine System Technicians Electrical (GSE) and Gas Turbine System Technicians Mechanical (GSM) who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the gas turbine engines, main propulsion machinery, shafting, controllable pitch propeller, auxiliary equipment propulsion control systems, the oil lab and the ship's calibration program.

Administration Department

MH Division - is manned by Hospital Corpsmen (HM) who are responsible for the health and well being of the crew as well as the habitability of the ship.

XX Division - is manned by Personnel Specialists (PS), Yeomen (YN), a Navy Career Counselor (NC) and a Master-at-Arms (MA) who are responsible for the accuracy of the crew's personnel files and official correspondence. They also prepare reports, manage the ship's Enlisted Distribution and Verification Report and process security clearances. The Career Counselor advises Sailors on career opportunities and processes re-enlistment requests. The CMAA ensures regulations are enforced, conducts investigations, and processes shipboard disciplinary administration.

Operations Department

CC Division - is manned by Information Systems Technicians (IT) who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ship's computer local area network, radio transmitters and receivers as well as sending and receiving official message traffic.

OD Division - is manned by Boatswain's Mates (BM) and deck seaman who are responsible for all activities relating to deck and boat seamanship, the ship's ground tackle and mooring lines, and the maintenance of the ship's external structure.

OI Division - is manned by Operations Specialists (OS) and Quartermasters (QM) who are responsible for the collection, processing, and dissemination of tactical information, writing messages, communicating with warfare commanders, tactically controlling the SH-60B helicopters, and acting as a backup to the bridge for the navigation plot. Additionally responsible for the accuracy of the ship's navigational charts, piloting the ship while underway and they maintain navigational aid references, oceanographic publications and the ship's deck log.

OT Division - is manned by Cryptologic Technicians Technical (CTT) who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Electronic Warfare suite and decoy launching systems.

Supply Department

S1 Division - is manned by Storekeepers (SK) who are responsible for the timely processing and procurement of supplies, repair parts and hazardous materials that are required to meet the operational commitments of the ship.

S2 Division - is manned by Culinary Specialists (CS) who are responsible for providing healthy meals for the crew. They cook, bake, order, inspect and stow food aboard the ship.

S3 Division - is manned by Ship's Servicemen (SH) who are responsible for the ship store, barber shop, crews laundry, gee dunk operations and the post office.

S4 Division - is manned by a lone Personnel Specialist (PS) that has the responsibility of maintaining personnel pay records and processing travel
