Command Master Chief

CMDCM (SW/AW/EXW/SCW) Turner is a native of Milwaukee, WI. After graduating from Milwaukee Trade and Technical High in 1994, he reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL in April 1998.

Command Master Chief Turner’s sea duty assignments include, USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) , USS BOXER (LHD 4), USS EMORY S. LAND (AS-39), USS NIMITZ (CVN 68), and Electronic Attack Squadron to ONE FOUR ONE. He was selected for the CMC/COB Program and MCPO while attached to USS NIMITZ (CVN 68). During his last tour, he served as Command Master Chief to Electronic Attack Squadron ONE FOUR ONE.

Ashore, Command Master Chief Turner’s commands include, NTTC Corry Station, Southwest Intermediate Maintenance Activity/Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, and individual augmentee orders to Joint Detention Operations Group, Commander, United States Naval Forces Central Command/Commander, FIFTH Fleet. He transferred to Amphibious Construction Battalion One, where he was selected for CPO. In January 2011, he had individual augmentee to International Security Assistance Force, Bahgram Air Field, Afghanistan.

He reported to his current assignment as Command Master Chief of USS STETHEM (DDG 63) in October 2017.

His decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various unit and campaign medals.
