|CDR Matthew H. Hall
Commander Matthew Hall is a native of Glen Rock, New Jersey and a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S in Economics.
His first sea assignment was as Electrical Officer, Auxiliaries Officer and Main Propulsion Assistant in USS JOHN A. MOORE (FFG 19). CDR Hall’s second Division Officer tour was in USS THORN (DD 988), where he served as Training Officer. As a Department Head, CDR Hall served as Engineer Officer in USS LASSEN (DDG 82), forward deployed to the C7F AOR, and Materiel Officer in Commander, Destroyer Squadron FIVE ZERO, forward deployed to the C5F AOR in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation SEA DRAGON IV.
Ashore, CDR Hall was assigned as a Sea Strike Analyst for the Assessments Division, Chief of Naval Operations (N81) and later, in January of 2010, he was assigned to SEA 21, Surface Warfare Directorate (PMS 400F).
CDR Hall is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, and holds a Master’s Degree in Operations Research.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Naval Achievement Medal and numerous unit and campaign awards.
