LT Adam R. TurpinExecutive Officer
LT Turpin was born in Henderson, Kentucky. He attended the United States Naval Academy in 2003 where he graduated with a B.S. in Systems Engineering in 2007.
Upon graduation, LT Turpin’s first tour of duty was as Fire Control Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer onboard USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD 52) homeported in San Diego, California where he participated in a 2008 Fifth Fleet Deployment, Exercise Ulchi Freedom Guardian, Exercise Cobra Gold, and a 2009 INSURV. He was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Ship’s Self Defense System (SSDS), overseeing information collection efforts during deployment, and managing the Intelligence Warfare Area. His collateral duties included: MWR Recreational Services Officer, Mess Treasurer, and Assistant INSURV Coordinator.
n April 16th, 2010 LT Turpin reported as Weapons Officer for PC Crew HOTEL. He is responsible for the management and implementation of the ship’s defensive and offensive capabilities. In addition, he also serves as HOTEL’s Executive Officer and Supply Officer. He is slated to be an Officer-In-Charge for Riverine Squadron Four in Little Creek, Virginia in October 2011.
His personal awards include the Navy-Marine Corps. Achievement Medal.
