Lieutenant Commander Alisha E. Hamilton Commanding Officer
Lieutenant Commander Alisha E. Hamilton was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The daughter of LtCol Jack Hamilton, USA (Ret.) and Major Constance Hamilton, USA (Ret.), she grew up in Kentucky, Germany and Georgia. She attended the United States Naval Academy, majoring in History and minoring in French. She also attended the Naval Postgraduate School and received a Master of Arts in National Security Studies (Western Hemisphere).
After commissioning in 2003, she served with the Naval Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Paris before reporting to USS COWPENS (CG 63) in Yokosuka, Japan. Her department head tours included Operations Officer in USS MOMSEN (DDG 92) and Combat Systems Officer in USS COWPENS (CG 63) and USS ANTIETAM (CG 54). Ashore, she attended the Naval Postgraduate School and served as Flag Aide for Commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo.
