Master Chief Petty Officer Jamie Hamilton is a native of Woodbine, Georgia, graduated from Camden County High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1993, attending Recruit Training and Seaman Apprenticeship Training in Orlando, Florida.

His duty assignments include: USS WARRIOR (MCM-10) and USS CHAMPION (MCM-4) Ingleside, Texas; Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas; USS HALYBURTON (FFG-40) Mayport, Florida; Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida; USS GETTYSBURG (CG-64) Mayport, Florida.

Master Chief Hamilton was selected for the Command Senior Chief program and then subsequently promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer while serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader for DELTA Company Detachment at Coastal Riverine Squadron THREE Yorktown, Virginia.

During his tours, he deployed to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) areas of responsibility in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Active Endeavor, as well as counter-narcotics, counter-piracy, and mine countermeasure operations.

Master Chief Hamilton is a graduate of the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (Class 11-A) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 130).

Master Chief Hamilton’s personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards), Good Conduct Medal (five awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
