LCDR Harry L. Marsh
LCDR Harry L Marsh, a native of Matoaca, Virginia, enlisted in the United States Navy on June 15, 1993. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his commission in 1998.
His sea duty assignments include Division Officer tours as Strike Warfare Officer onboard USS BRISCOE (DD 977) and Training Officer onboard USS KAUFFMAN (FFG 59). His Department Head tours include Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer onboard USS RAMAGE (DDG 61). While serving onboard USS RAMAGE, he oversaw the installation and certification of the AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense System, making USS RAMAGE the first Ballistic Missile Defense capable ship on the East Coast. USS RAMAGE deployed twice to 5th Fleet and 6th Fleet, and participated in numerous Air and Ballistic Missile Defense exercises and operations.
His shore duty assignments include Training Liaison Officer, Afloat Training Group, Norfolk. Additionally, he earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Old Dominion University. He served as a student at Naval War College, earning a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Policy. He served as Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Assessments, Navy Air and Missile Defense Command.
LCDR Marsh currently serves as Executive Officer on USS MESA VERDE (LPD 19). His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards) and various unit awards.
