Master Chief Cole, a native of Raceland, Louisiana, enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1994. Following completion of Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida, he reported to Naval Aircrewman Candidate School, Pensacola, Florida, and then to Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, Tennessee, where he completed AW “A” school and designated as an Aviation Warfare Systems Operator.

Upon graduation, he reported for training at Patrol Squadron THIRTY, NAS Jacksonville, Florida, as a student in the P-3 Acoustic Operator program. His fleet assignments include Patrol Squadron FOUR FIVE, NAS Jacksonville, Florida; Patrol Squadron FOUR SIX, NAS Whidbey Island, Washington and Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing TEN Detachment Fleet Support Unit, NAS Whidbey Island, Washington. His shore tours include AW “A” school, Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida and Tactical Operations Center Jacksonville, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing ELEVEN.

Master Chief Cole was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in March 2012 and assumed duty as the Command Senior Chief aboard the USS Samuel B. Roberts in January 2013. He was promoted to Master Chief in May 2014. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. Master Chief Cole is a graduate of the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy and Command Leadership School.

He has earned the Enlisted Naval Aircrewman Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Master Training Specialist designations. His awards include the Air Medal (3 Strike/Flights awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
