Command Senior Chief

Biography ImageSenior Chief Parker, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, enlisted in the United States Navy in February 1992.  Following completiong of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Florida he reported to the first phase of Navy Electronics Technician "A" School, also located in Orlando, Florida.  Upon completion in Orlando, he reported to Great Lakes, Illinois where he completed second phase of Electronics Technician training.  After "A" school, he reported to Norfolk, Virginia for Electronics Technician "C" School consisting of the FFG Class communications and radar pipeline. 

Upon graduation, he reported for duty to USS ESTOCIN (FFG-15) home ported in Newport, Rhode Island; and was designated as the AN/SPS-49 Air Search Radar Lead Technician.  His fleet assignments include Explosive Ordnance Detachment Mobile Unit Ten, Fort Story, Virginia; Instructor, Electronics' Technician "C" School, Center for Surface Combat Systems, Norfolk, Virginia; USS CHIEF (MCM14) Ingleside, Texas; USS ARDENT (MCM12), Manama, Bahrain; South Central Regional Maintenance Center, Ingleside, Texas and Navy Operations Support Center, Phoenix, Arizona.  

Senior Chief Parker is currently serving as the Command Senior Chief onboard USS SIMPSON (FFG-56) stationed in Mayport, Florida.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Workforce, Education, and Development from Southern Illinois University.  Additionally, Senior Chief Parker is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 148, Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course and has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare, and Master Training Specialist designations.

His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (6 awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
